Application Process

1. Proposal Submission (Up to 1500 words):

Clearly identify the category or categories of scholarships you are applying for.
Articulate your proposed project, including the specific tasks you plan to undertake within the chosen category/categories.
Specify the number of hours per week and the overall duration you propose to work on the project.

2. Resume Submission:

Include a current resume outlining your academic background, relevant experiences, and any involvement in LGBTQ+ causes or history.

3. Submission Period:

Applications will be accepted throughout the duration of the project. Please submit your scholarship proposals, resumes, and any questions to Sean de Courcy by emailing Microsoft Word or PDF files attached to an email to sdecourcy@cityofsacramento.org.

  • Longer-duration scholarships (three and six months) allow for the potential overlap of multiple categories, enabling a more comprehensive exploration of LGBTQ+ history.
